Handling of Rat - Our lab for today :D

To my surprise, those rats were very obedient compared to the mouse. Mouse bite but rat actually DON'T no matter how u handle them!! Although they are big in their size.. Trust me!

Female Rats are more noisy compared to Male ones. They squeak once you tried to handle them. Haha..

Hui and i had Rat no. 44, Its so adorable!! But i know we cant develop any feelings for them :(

He was tired and aching and on his way home from a long day at work, so he almost didn't see the old lady stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His old Pontiac was still sputtering as he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold.

He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.

He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson." Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, "Pass it on."

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress cameover and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude.

The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan . After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be.

Then she noticed something written on the napkin. There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: "This isn't a tip, it's a gift. You don't owe me anything. Somebody once helped me out and if you feel you want to pay me back, don't let this chain of love
end with you, pass it on."

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it to closing time.

That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to
her, she gave him a gentle kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's
going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson."

Today is Lun's House Warming!!

Had slight fever & sore throat in the morning.. But I am okay now.

Met Shan at CP to buy Lun's gift. An Absolute Vodka :D

Bus over to bus stop to meet Hui & Hubby with karen & Zhen Hui...

Lun's house is BIG la! So envy him.. his house, his room, his basement, his balcony, his toilet, everything.. Haha.. But i don't think i will ever have a chance to live in such a big house. His basement leads to carpark. So great! Convenient for them too.. :D

Playing games and chatting in his room. 6pm and buffet catering arrived. Means Dinner!! We took lots of food (Until our plate like covered with ingredients until cant detect the rice)

Took lots of pictures, had great fun. Too bad didn't have chance to play pool that Lun's booked for us. :( We're too engross in games.. Lol..

After dinner went to explore around and hit the balcony! So nice.. How i wish i had a house like that too! Hmm......

Anyway, the baby is cutieee....

Left at 8.30pm after a round of UNO game. Rayner drove us to North Point. His driving damn GOOD!! Feel like drifting but we even more pro can. Imagine 6 ppl squeezing the rear seats?

Kim, Ben & Hui wasn't in school today. Left with me and Celine the two pathetic souls! Ha!

Arrived in school only at 3pm for AHDis Lab.. We did testing of sample for ear mites. Celine held onto the Cat (Night Crawler) and i took the sample from the ear. Oh my..i dare not dig too deep la!

As i put the scissor wrap with a cotton wool (cotton swab) and insert into the ear.....My imagination really just went wild. The images of i poking the cotton swab too deep, the cat move, then it bleeds. Angry with me, he might even scream and stretch my hand!!

Ok, just my lil crazy imagination. :D

Of cause i won't so violent to the extent that i will make it pain and even bleed la. Night Crawler just twitched it's ear a little (Maybe the cotton swab too ticklish) Dr Jomer pointed out the way i am taking the sample isn't correct.

Just put the cotton swab into its ear and massage the ear (sample will gets onto the cotton bud without me having to dig and the cat will not feel uncomfotable). This is the correct way. Haha.

Received a msg from Zaine when i was in lesson. Shocked to death la! Making me scare only.. Sorry i wasn't there for u, but pls don't always give me those shocking news out of sudden ok? My small heart cant take it. Got anything can talk to me, I am always there.. :D

Met Hubby and headed to his house. Watched the Mars Vs Venus (9pm) show with his Sister. We talk so much. GIRLS~~ Endless conversation one! :)

Ok, i went home myself as hubby was snoring away in the midst of the show.

I was reading through my Basic Theory handbook and i was kind of confused by the Police Officer's hand signal. I was testing myself and i got it wrong.. Awww~~~

Am wondering what happen if i just forget everything about the hand signal (I am always like that) and so suay i face it one day on the street? Will i just bang the officer? If yes, i cant imagine what will happen la. Haha!

Reached school at only 9.15am can. Damn to those SLOW SBS BUS..

Every morning meet Hui at 8am. Get to the usual bus-stop that we always go, but its only 8.20am then we will get to board the freaky bus. Every morning can. Dammit!!

I got separated from Hui when we got up the TP school bus. She got up 1st and there isn't any space for me. So i had to take the next bus in order to catch up with her.

Slow buses already raised my fire a little. What anger me more is OUR LECTURER. Great! What happen? He insisted on starting the Quiz at 9am, which Hui and I have not even reach the school nor even board the bus yet. (Ah kim called me)

It's just so UNFAIR!! *Fire Burning*

AND! He don't even wanted to open the door for us? Making Dr Fong & us waiting outside like some idiots la?

Its another lectuer open the door for us. When i open the classroom's door, he is marking attendence not not opening the door for us!

(Ok, our lectures for AHDis & SAPrn are held at a special rooms, where only lecturers can enter with their card. For us students, we need to call into the teacher's room in order to reach him to open the freaking door for us. Sound inconvenient right? *Sigh* But our lectures are just held there are).

Actually, i should really thanks the freaking damn SBS huh!!

My friend saw a man before at Novena MRT ATM trying to get all thereceipts out of the ATM bin.

Hi all, please read the following message from a friend of mine, it's true. Please be careful, it's not a joke.......

Be careful when u draw cash from ATM with receipt which complete with your account number. Never, neverthrow the receipt in the public even if u must tear into small pieces before throwing it away. Today, just got a call from my sister that she had lost all her cash from her account whereby she threw the receipt into the bin provided at ATM recently.

Luckily, she only has $633/= in heraccount. Not much of suspicious when she was left with $11/= because she thought it was her petrol GIRO payment, however, that's not true. She only got to know it when the petrol company, mobil cut-off the petrol card's transaction that she realized something is wrong.

After checking with the bank, she was told that now there is this syndicate who will pick up the ATM receipt & with their IT expert, they are able to draw out your money. The bank will not be able to trace where these people had drawn the money & how they do it, don't ask me, even the bank also can't answer it. They only can advise you to report the case to the police for investigation.

"Please keep away from this durian stall called CHIN YONG TRADING opp Geylang Lor 11. Their hard sell tactics give you no time to react and you'll be forced to spend $200 on just a few durians!! Probably its just one or 2 salesmen who use such underhand tricks but better to avoid the stall totally or be sorry!

Here is my own personal account

On 21st Apr, my husband with a group of friends decided to have some durian after dinner at geylang and we head straight to the nearest stall - CHIN YONG TRADING. Turned out to be a big mistake! My husband went off to choose the durians after we found a table. Once my husnband approached this hooligan, he took out his parang to open a durian and ask my husband to try, my husband asked him how much was it but he say "never mind just try first", so my husband commented not bad....immediately this hooligan picked up 5 durians and put into a basket, weighed it and brought it to our tables despite my husband repeated questioning on the price. No replies given.

At our table, he opened up another and asked me and nother gal friend (who's carrying a less than yr old baby) to try the durian so we tried. He asked whether nice, we said yes, not bad and immediately he started opening up another durian and say, "see confirm good one this one"! We asked him about the price then only at this time he told us $20 per kg!!! so we asked him the whole basket how heavy, and guess what??? 10kg, and there were only 5 durians inside! We say we don;t want he say cannot cos durian opened already and he already keyed in the sales and cannot return. Then keep explaining to us this is really good durian and worth eating while picking up another to open. This time we raised out voice and told him if he don't stop opening, we will leave immediately.

Only then he stopped and say, never mind, he'll return the other 2 unopened one, but the rest of the three durians we have to take....wah piang...and we thought just a while ago he said key in order already cannot returned??????

Anyway, we were very angry and everything happened too fast for us to react, we finished up the 3 durians which in the end cost us $140/- , we didn't enjoyed the durians at all.> > We hope to prevent anyone from becoming victims again to this hardselll tactics so beware of those geylang stalls> especially Chin Yong Trading. One of our friends who joined us later on said that he experienced the same thing too from the same stall once.
